Synthetic Turf Installation Guide
Synthetic turf has come a long way since its debut in the 1960’s. It has been given many much needed make-over’s and names, but lately synthetic turf has become a lawn alternative worth looking into and buying. In short, there are no longer sacrifices in beauty or function, and they are easy to maintain with little or no work involved other than installation. Use this guide to help your installation process be an easy and fun experience.
Required Tools:
-Vibra Plate Compactor -Wheel Barrow, Shovels, Picks, Grading Rake, hammer
-Drop Spreader (for infill) -Carpet Knife or Box Cutters and Carpet Scissors
-Power Broom -Blower and/or broom (for clean up)
Site Base Preparation:
The site base preparation is very important. Preparing the site properly can extend turf life and save you time and money fixing any mistakes.
1. Remove 3-4 inches of existing sod and/or dirt. Cap and/or remove any sprinklers. Be sure to set a rough grade for drainage.
