STEVE McSHANE NAMED TO STATEWIDE ASSOCIATION BOARD
SACRAMENTO, CALIFORNIA – Salinas Nuseryman, Steve McShane, has been elected to the California Association of Nurseries & Garden Centers. The California Association of Nurseries and Garden Centers is a professional organization dedicated to the promotion and advancement of the nursery industry for its members and the public it serves.
McShane was elected from a membership base of 1,500. He has been a member for nearly five years and has served on the association’s political action committee. McShane joins the association at a difficult time given a statewide drop in nursery stock sales.
“I’m excited to offer the perspective of the next generation of nursery professional,” shared McShane. “These are tough times for the industry and I’m excited to help keep the original green industry growing,” continued McShane.
The California Association of Nurseries and Garden Centers was founded in 1911. Its membership includes grower and retail nurseries, businesses allied with the lawn and garden industry, individuals employed by members and students in horticultural education, researchers, colleges and garden writers.
