SACRAMENTO, CALIFORNIA – California Country Television Program has named local Monterey County Nurseryman, Steve McShane as its “Gardening Commentator” for the California Country Television Show. Mr. McShane will be the host of a segment titled “Lets Get Gardening.” The segment will offer successful tips for beautiful gardens and landscapes.

California Country is a 30-minute weekly program that feature stories on the people, places and lifestyles that have made California the nation’s largest food-producing state. It is aired in almost every media market in California and nationally through RFD TV.

Mr. McShane holds a degree in Soil Science from Cal Poly and a Masters Degree in Agribusiness from Santa Clara University. He is also a Master Gardener and a member of the California Rare Fruit Growers.

“Gardening is my passion and this program is an awesome opportunity to share that with others,” remarked owner Steve McShane.

Mr. McShane is a recognized columnist for several magazines and newspapers local to the Greater Monterey Bay Area. Some include the Salinas Californian, Carmel Pine Cone, Homestyle By the Sea, Monterey County Magazine, South County Magazine, The King City Rustler, The Seaside Post and Coastal Grower.
