Employee of the Month, July 2006

JOSE SAMANEZ
Jose Samanez is July's Employee of the Month. Jose works for McShane’s Landscape Supply Department. Jose has worked for McShane’s since its opening, starting out at as a yard man. Through his willingness to learn and dedication to excellent customer service Jose was recently promoted to the position of Dispatcher and Customer Service Associate. Jose is a virtual bank of landscaping knowledge. He delivers this knowledge to customers accurately and always with a smile on his face, making him truly excel at his job. Jose was born and raised in Peru. Currently, Jose is also a volunteer fire fighter with the Laureles Grade Fire Department. When Jose isn't busy at work or out fighting fires he enjoys dancing. He is a professional salsa dancer, competing in San Jose and San Francisco.

SUE MILLER
McShane's is honored to announce Sue Miller as the Employee of the Month for June. Sue's organizational skills, eye for detail, and love of gardening have made her a real asset. Sue took charge of the booths at the Carmel Flower Show and Castroville Artichoke Festival. Look for Sue at the upcoming Salinas Rodeo, Monterey County Fair, and Tomato Fest! Sue was recently promoted to Supervisor! Congratulations Sue, and thanks for strengthening McShane's team!

ALBERTO VILLANUEVA
Alberto Villanueva of the Landscape Supply Department is McShane's May Employee of the Month! Berto has been a valuable asset to our team, and a true leader. Berto is credited with being a self-starter, taking the initiative to take care of tasks without being prompted. He was credited with demolishing and old lean to that needed to go. He is trusted, and capable of managing the yard on busy days. Berto is quite physically fit and is a real strength in unloading large trees, fountains, and statuary. He is also bilingual and very friendly. Next time you visit McShane's be sure to say "Hi" to Berto!

JILL KRAMM
Jill Kramm, a part-time employee at McShane’s Nursery and Landscape Supply, is the recipient of the April Employee of the Month award! Jill is certified in Ornamental Horticulture. Jill continually educates herself in the nursery world by visiting nurseries in the NAPA Valley and recently attending the San Francisco Garden Expo. Jill is also heavily involved in the community as a Spreckels Park Safety Committee Member, the Spreckels Memorial District Board Member, a San Benancio 4-H Flower Arranging Teacher, a St. Joseph’s Religious Education Teacher, and a Buena Vista Middle School Volunteer. Jill and Otto, her husband of 20 years, have two children, Lexie and Otto. Thank you for everything, Jill!
